Garett Van Oirschot
Garett has worked in numerous private practice and sports settings around Halifax, Toronto, and Calgary in Canada, with particular experience in treating adolescent injuries for those in development sports programs. Garett provided treatment for snow sports like ice hockey, figure skating, and downhill skiing. He also spent time treating soccer and lacrosse players, as well as providing Physiotherapy coverage for his own personal sport of taekwondo. After moving to Sydney, Australia, Garett spent more time in private practices treating various recreational athletes and chronic conditions, as well as working with rugby, soccer, rowing, and gymnastics clubs. He also worked in the World and Pan-Pacific Masters Games, which provided added experience in the injuries of the older athlete.
Garett has a particular interest in shoulder and knee rehabilitation, tendon injuries of the lower limbs, and spinal disorders. His own interests in running, hiking, and swimming keep him active and he is on the committee for the CPSEM (Chartered Physiotherapist in Sports & Exercise Medicine).
